1. Who we are

Photo Genie is made by Redsprint Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This policy covers the Photo Genie iOS app and the photo-genie.app website. Contact: [email protected].

2. The short version

Photo Genie runs on your phone and sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no upload and no analytics. We do not run ads and we do not sell data.

3. What the app reads

With your permission, the app reads the photo library on your phone: the photos and videos, their size, their date and any location tag they carry. That is what builds the strip, the folders and the storage figures. If you grant access to a selection rather than the whole library, the app sees only that selection and says so on screen.

4. What leaves your phone

No photo, thumbnail, filename, location or storage figure ever leaves your phone. The app has no server of its own. It makes no copy of your photos.

5. Deleting

Photo Genie never deletes a photo permanently. When you confirm a delete, iOS asks you again and then moves the photos to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where they stay for 30 days. Emptying that album is something only you can do, inside Photos.

6. Folders

Folders in the app are albums in Photos. Filing a photo adds it to that album on your phone. The colour and pin state of a folder are stored in the app's own files on your phone and nowhere else.

7. Ratings and the App Store

The app may ask, once, whether you would like to rate it. That prompt is Apple's, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and can be switched off in iOS Settings. Downloads and ratings reach us only as the anonymous totals Apple shows every developer.

8. This website

photo-genie.app is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs under its own privacy terms.

9. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask what data we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Because the app keeps nothing off your phone, deleting the app removes everything it created. For anything else, email [email protected].

10. Changes

If the app ever starts collecting usage data, this policy will say exactly what, and the date above will change.
